La Trinidad Mayor Recognizes UBHS Student for Exemplary Engagement in MDRRM Programs

In a commendable acknowledgment of his outstanding commitment to community service, Mr. Magno Alexis D. Daodao, a Grade 10 student of the University of Baguio High School (UBHS), was awarded a Plaque of Commendation during the Flag Raising Ceremony held on March 11, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. at the La Trinidad Municipal Grounds.

The award was given by the La Trinidad Mayor, Hon. Romeo K. Salda. The prestigious award was presented in honor of Mr. Daodao’s admirable, exemplary, and unselfish act of volunteerism. Notably, he served as the youngest trainer for various essential courses, including the Learn to Swim course, Basic Water Safety course, Basic Life Support (BLS) course, and Basic First Aid course. These courses were conducted under the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (MDRRM) initiative. Mr. Daodao was also recognized as the youngest member of the La Trinidad Accredited Community Disaster Volunteers (LT-ACDV). His involvement in disaster preparedness and response showcased a high level of dedication and responsibility for someone of his age.

In light of Mr. Daodao’s recognition, Dr. Marivic B. Mutong, the UBHS principal, participated in the ceremony. Dr. Mutong received a Plaque of Appreciation for supporting MDRRM programs by allowing students to actively participate in MDRRM activities. The Plaque of Appreciation was given during the same ceremony. This recognition served as a testament to the collaborative efforts between UBHS and the community in fostering a sense of civic responsibility and community involvement among the youth.
