The University of Baguio High School (UBHS) continues to strengthen its partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through meaningful initiatives aimed at empowering youth and fostering community development. Recently, this collaboration was celebrated when the UBHS – Philosophy/Psychology Department was honored as one of the awardees at the Iyaman Awards, a tribute to DSWD intermediaries and stakeholders for CY 2023.
The awarding ceremony took place as part of the 73rd DSWD founding anniversary celebration on February 23, 2024, at the Newtown Convention Center. Among the recipients were UBHS Principal, Dr. Marivic B. Mutong, and the UBHS Philosophy/Psychology Department Subject Head, Ms. Esther Masielle Flores.
The award received by UBHS acknowledges its substantial contributions and commitment to advancing DSWD’s mission and community welfare. It validates UBHS’s dedication to education, community engagement, and empowering youth, inspiring further innovation and collaboration for societal improvement.
