On April 8, 2024, another significant event took place at the DSWD Field Office Training Center as the Department of Social Welfare and Development – Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (DSWD-RRCY) and University of Baguio High School (UBHS) renewed their Memorandum of Agreement. This renewal marked a continued partnership between the two institutions, aimed at achieving their respective goals and objectives in service of the Filipino people.
The signing ceremony was attended by key figures from both organizations, including DSWD RRCY Director Enrique H. Gascon Jr. and UBHS Principal Dr. Marivic B. Mutong. Their presence underscored the importance of collaboration and cooperation in addressing the needs of the community and fostering a brighter future for the youth.
The Memorandum of Agreement renewal signifies a commitment to working together towards common objectives, such as providing support and assistance to vulnerable youth, promoting education and skills development, and advocating for the welfare of the Filipino people. Through this partnership, DSWD-RRCY and UBHS aim to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for the youth, empowering them to reach their full potential and contribute positively to society.
The event was made even more special as it coincided with the DSWD-RRCY employees’ Flag Ceremony, where they had the opportunity to witness the signing and reaffirmation of the partnership between their organization and UBHS. This served as a reminder of the collective efforts and dedication required to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need.
